Elegibility Requirements

  • Aplicants must provide one of the following:
    • SSN or ITIN, and/or
    • A valid government-issued photo ID, such as:
      • Passport
      • U.S. Driver’s License
      • U.S. State ID
      • Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
  • In addition, applicants may be required to provide:
    • Proof of address (when applicable)

How to obtain and activate the card

  • Apply for your ViaCard at any participating agency location in just 3 easy steps:
    1. Complete your enrollment via WhatsApp
      • Upload a selfie
      • Upload a valid government-issued photo ID
      • Upload proof of address (if applicable)
    2. Purchase your ViaCard
      • Purchase your card at any Viamericas participating location.
    3. Download the Viamericas App
      • Download the app and sign in using the credentials created during the WhatsApp enrollment.

Funding and Usage
